Meet Kevin Jones, our Technical Service Engineer who is on his second tour of Middleby UK and has been with the team for almost 17 years! Let’s find out more about him..
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I have been married to my wife Carolyn for 32 years this April. We have two children Katie and Curtis. In 1994 we emigrated to Australia where my son Curtis was born…I have dual nationality, having taken the Australian oath. We returned to England in 1997. Now I enjoy traveling and taking as many holidays as I can abroad.
What’s your favourite thing about working at Middleby UK?
My favourite thing about working at Middleby UK is the team atmosphere – It’s a great working environment to be in.
How long have you been at Middleby?
Hmm…I initially worked here for 11 years after returning from Australia, I left and have now been back 6 years this April!
What’s your favourite product?
Definitely Pitco Fryers – they are so reliable and versatile, and they offer so much to any commercial kitchen.
What do you get up to outside of work?
Apart from visiting my two children, my main hobby is golf – I play off a 16 handicap and have been a member of Houghwood golf club for 20+ years. I also love watching Star Trek – so much so that I toyed with the idea of naming my son after Captain Kirk!
And finally, just for fun, what’s your favourite food?
My favourite food has to be ribeye steak!
